Lt. Governers tag hunt.

For one lucky winner each year a tag is issued that is valid statwide from September 1 through January 31 of following year. The bucks taken on this type of tag are truly GIANT mule deer. Tag is awarded through a raffle drawing. The tag is fully transferrable and procedes go to the Mule Deer Foundation for mule deer habitat improvements. Mule Deer Hunt Descriptions and Pricing

Public Land Draw Hunts

 These hunt tags are acquired by applying in the state tag lottery. We will assist you in applying for units that will provide the mule deer hunting adventure you are looking for. All units are located in north west New Mexico in a variety of terrain. Rifle hunts take place in October or November and are pre-rut. Early season archery and muzzleloader hunts take place in September and late season archery rut hunts take place in January. Duration of rifle hunts is 5 days. Archery and muzzleloader hunts are 6 day hunts. Hunt cost is $4,500 which includes guide, lodging, all meals, and field care of game. Hunt cost does not include NM State hunting license or gratuities.
Private Land Trophy Hunt

 Duration 5 days. Includes exclusive acess to private land in trophy mule deer units.  Ranches are all located in Rio Arriba or San Juan counties. Hunt cost also includes guide service, all meals, and field care* of game. A trophy fee of $1,000 will be assesed for bucks harvested with a gross green score of 200" or over. Hunt cost is $5,500-$13,500 dependant on dates and location. Very limited availability so book early!
Youth Only Rut Hunts. These hunts are for the youngsters under 18 years of age. The timing of these hunts is what makes them so special. They are rut hunts in some of the best trophy units in the state! Tags are tough to draw but really offer your young hunter the chance to hunt rutting mule deer in a trophy area. Proof that young hunter has attended and successfully completed Hunter Safety Education Course in your state is required to apply for hunts. Hunt cost is $4,500.00 and includes guide service, all meals, field care of harvested game and lodging for young hunter and up to two additional family members.
